El Güegüense 5 Year Aniversario tied together everything that made Foundation’s original line stand out. Made at Tabacos Valle de Jalapa S.A. (TABSA) in Nicaragua, it features a Corojo 99 wrapper from Jalapa, a Nicaraguan binder, and fillers from Estelí and Jalapa. This cigar marked five years since Nick Melillo launched Foundation’s first brand, named after Nicaragua’s historic satirical drama “El Güegüense.” It smoked with the familiar earthy spice and natural sweetness that define the series, rounded by a deeper richness and smooth finish that felt like a fitting tribute to the milestone.
